Today we held our Trauma day. Training Officer, Catie Bonner along with former training officer Mark Murdock lead courses on numerous trauma related subjects. Additionally, Elysia Wible of Hollywood VRS came to teach the new Stop the Bleed program. Other subjects covered included spinal immobilization, the many uses of the KED, basic and traction splinting, triage and EMS role in MCI. The kids that got stuck with us adults got to make a fort from the floor mats when they were not in use.
