EMS week was first authorized by President Gerald Ford in 1974. This is a week dedicated to honor the hard working individuals that sacrifice their time to the emergency medical system. This years theme is “Rising to the Challenge.” The past few years has been a crazy unpredictable ride. EMS practitioners have had to adapt to constant changes with what we consider a new normal. This week is dedicated to those who show their heroism and selflessness to put the needs of their community above their own and provide assistance in a time of need. Join us in celebrating and thanking those who answer the call and Rise to the Challenge.
