This is our one time a year where we can hang up our turnout gear and celebrate our accomplishments together. We had a very busy year in 2017. American Red Cross Blood Drive Results and thanks.

Thank you for helping to save lives with the American Red Cross. When we made the commitment to sponsor a blood drive on March 30, 2018, we helped save lives. Our efforts have helped boost the community blood supply and ensure hospital patients have the lifesaving blood they need. Our blood drive registered 53 donors and collected 49 pints of blood. Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad Member Ryan Myers experienced an Aortic Dissection and required two hospitalizations, where he received many units of blood and platelets. We are thankful the blood was in supply for Ryan to receive, and in Ryan's honor are holding this blood drive to express our thanks and thankfulness to the American Red Cross and add to their blood supply.
