Today a team of members attended the SMVFA Parade, hosted by Bay District Volunteer Fire Department in Lexington Park Md.

A299 and EMS29 began our adventure departing the station at 0930 for line up beginning at 1000. The parade began at 1300 with the route starting at St. Mary's Square traveling East down Great Mills Rd to Millison Plaza on FDR Boulevard. After the parade, our team got to enjoy mingling with fellow Fire/EMS Departments from neighboring counties and got to watch multiple Fire/EMS Games. Units returned to quarters just after 2000.

Many members of our rescue squad have spent many hours in the few weeks detailing units. Not only does it take time and effort to make our units shine, but is a great reflection of our department's teamwork and dedication. All of our hard work paid off and A299 was awarded 2nd Best Appearing Medium Duty/ Light Duty ambulance, and brought home a Trophy.

All members of the Rescue Squad would like to congratulate other departments on a job well done and the awards that were given, we all looked fantastic.
